The Valley Vista Monsoon have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 32 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Foothill 66-34 at home.
Valley Vista's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tysyn Johnson, who scored 18 points. Jocelyn Chavez was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists.
Valley Vista pushed their record up to 6-3 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.78 points. As for Foothill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Vista will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Point at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
