The Moorcroft Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 74-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Big Horn. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Big Horn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drew Heermann, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Heermann has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Triton Madry, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Moorcroft dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Big Horn, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.
Moorcroft will be playing in front of their home fans against Sundance at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Big Horn, they will head out on the road to take on Wright at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
