The Weequahic Indians can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They blew past Tech 71-29 on the road. With that victory, Weequahic brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Weequahic found their leader in underclassman Tyhir Barlow, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Barlow has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Hekeimu Williams was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Weequahic is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Tech, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Weequahic will be playing at home against the Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: University has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while the Indians will arrive with three straight victories. As for Tech, they will head out on the road to challenge the at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Jersey (Bergen Charter is ranked 370th, while the Panthers are ranked 394th).
