Baseball Recap: Olympus Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Olympus and Highland had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Titans blew past the Rams 7-1 on Tuesday. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Olympus got a great performance from Cougar Vance as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Vance has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Olympus let Josh Stohl and JACK EVANS run wild. Stohl went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs, while EVANS got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave EVANS a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of CADE FELTS, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Olympus pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Highland, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Olympus will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
