The Lithia Springs Lions's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They took down Banneker 59-45. For Lithia Springs, this counts as revenge for the 59-54 loss Banneker walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Lithia Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Graham led the charge by scoring no points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her.
Lithia Springs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season. As for Banneker, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lithia Springs and Chapel Hill will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Chapel Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Saturday. Banneker is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Locust Grove at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th.
