The Agua Fria Owls will head out to square off against the Estrella Foothills Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Agua Fria will be strutting in after a victory while Estrella Foothills will be coming in after a loss.
Agua Fria barely beat Moon Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Owls were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Rockets on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Owls considering their two-run performance the game before.

Sebastian Heredia was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Agua Fria's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 2-10 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Aidan Gomez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Dylan Lavin, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Estrella Foothills came up short against Mesquite on Wednesday and fell 8-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.
Jayson Ross was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Alec Schaeffer, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Agua Fria has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Estrella Foothills, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Agua Fria hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Estrella Foothills struggles in that department as they've averaged .331. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Agua Fria might still be hurting after the 14-0 loss they got from Estrella Foothills in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Owls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
