This season hasn't been kind to the Tensas Academy Chiefs, who are still winless after their seventh match. They were dealt a 72-40 defeat at the hands of Woodlawn Prep on Tuesday. Tensas Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-21.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodlawn Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylon Reed, who scored 21 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Reed has scored at least 25% of Woodlawn Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Sinclair, who scored 18 points.
Tensas Academy bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Woodlawn Prep, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tensas Academy will take on Adams County Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adams County Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tensas Academy in their respective states (Adams County Christian is ranked 113th in Mississippi, while Tensas Academy is ranked 326th in Louisiana). As for Woodlawn Prep, they will be playing at home against Tallulah Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tallulah Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
