The University Christian Christians will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Ridgeview Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. University Christian's defense has only allowed 20.8 points per game this season, so Ridgeview's offense will have their work cut out for Ridgeview.
University Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 28 points or more this season. They breezed by Covenant School of Jacksonville on the road to the tune of 59-17. Given University Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Covenant School of Jacksonville is ranked 334th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview waltzed into Tuesday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Mandarin with points to spare, taking the game 54-39.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ridgeview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nia Blocton, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. Blocton also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Nacoya Blocton was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
University Christian pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Ridgeview, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
