Woodson (Washington, D.C.) came into Saturday's contest ranked No. 8 in, but was stunned by
Dunbar (Washington, D.C.), 28-14. Dunbar was ranked at No. 12 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for coming into the week.
The Crimson Tide were up 20-14 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Lamal Matthews to
Michael Smith in the first quarter.
The loss snapped the Warriors' 5-game winning streak.
Malont'a Patterson played well for Dunbar in the victory. The junior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.
DHS had given up an average of 8.0 points prior to the contest.
