The Combs Coyotes''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Arcadia at home by a decisive 19-0 margin. While losing is never fun, Combs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Arcadia is ranked 40th).
It was another big night for Brady Forst, who rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Forst was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Another reason for the win was Arcadia's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Owen Bowers and his two sacks.
Combs' loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.0 points per game. As for Arcadia, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Combs will head out on the road to face off against Desert Sunrise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arcadia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Vista Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
