Early College took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against School of the Arts, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Sharks had just enough and edged out the Silverhawks 16-15 on Monday. The Sharks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Early College's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for School of the Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Early College will square off against Edison Tech at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for School of the Arts, they will head out to square off against Gates Chili at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Silverhawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
