Young Women's Leadership Academy came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Bandera, but Sydney Moore wouldn't allow it. The BULLDOGS came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 2-0 on Thursday with plenty of help from Moore, who had ten kills, eight digs, and one block. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 18 games she's played.

Bandera never let Young Women's Leadership Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bandera to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jessi Battle, who had four digs and two aces. That's the most digs Battle has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Pyper Barnard, who had six kills and three digs.

Bandera's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Young Women's Leadership Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Bandera will take on Natalia in a tournament on Thursday. As for Young Women's Leadership Academy, they will welcome John F. Kennedy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
