Henryetta will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Okemah at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Henryetta, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Henryetta might have drawn first blood against Hartshorne last Friday, but it was Hartshorne who got the last laugh. Henryetta were completely outmatched, falling 13-50 to Hartshorne. Henryetta got a solid performance out of sophomore Jakob White, who passed for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, everything went Okemah's way against Hugo as they made off with a 66-36 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Okemah had established a 66-28 advantage.
Okemah's win lifted them to 3-1 while Henryetta's defeat dropped them down to 1-3. We'll see if Okemah's success rolls on or if Henryetta are able to steal their positive momentum.
