Basketball Recap: Millard North Extends Winning Streak to Five

Millard North had won four straight games and Derek Rollins did his part to make it five on Thursday. The Millard North Mustangs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Omaha Westside Warriors 69-66 thanks in part to Rollins, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Omaha Westside lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being London Dada, who went 6 of 11 en route to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Lee Robinson, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 17 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Millard North has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Omaha Westside, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-3.

Coincidentally, Millard North and Omaha Westside will both be playing Omaha North the next time they take the court. Omaha Westside will host Omaha North at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, while Millard North will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
