Williamstown had lost three straight at home, but  on Friday they dropped down to 1-3 to make it four. They had to suffer through  a    50-13 loss at the hands of the Chapmanville Regional Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 45  points in the game before, the Yellowjackets couldn't push the score so high this time.
Although Williamstown took the loss, they still got scores from  Carson Haines and  Tyrell Miller.
 Williamstown didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Breck Allen.
As for Chapmanville Regional, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 41.0 points this season.
  Preston Kovach was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 162 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Kovach is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 133 every time he's  taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was  Trey Ward, who gained 102 total yards and three touchdowns.
 Williamstown and Chapmanville Regional should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings. The Yellowjackets will  square off against  Marietta  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday with a big rank  advantage  (26 vs. 500). Meanwhile,  Chapmanville Regional (ranked 27th) will meet Tolsia (ranked 99th)  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
