After flying high against the Shining Light Baptist Academy Sharks on Tuesday, the Scotland Christian Academy Saints came back down to earth. Scotland Christian Academy took a 73-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southeastern Christian Academy on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Scotland Christian Academy in their matchups with Southeastern Christian Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeffrey St.Onge, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The match was St.Onge's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leland Ramsey, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Scotland Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scotland Christian Academy will challenge Fellowship Baptist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fellowship Baptist Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
