Having just played yesterday, the South Lakes Seahawks will jump right back in to play the Eastern Ramblers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. South Lakes is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
On Thursday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but South Lakes had to settle for a 48-45 defeat against McLean.
Meanwhile, Eastern faced Ballou in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Eastern was the clear victor by a 50-26 margin over Ballou. The result was nothing new for Eastern, who have now won three games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Samia Greene continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The contest was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanaia Martin, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
South Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Eastern, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-1-1 record this season.
