The Twin Lakes Indians will take on the Rossville Hornets at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Twin Lakes' pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by  a  10-0 margin over Benton Central. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won eight games by six  runs or more  so far this season.

 Mason Brummett was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases and three  runs. He is becoming a predictor of Twin Lakes' success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 6-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was  Carson Wagner, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Twin Lakes  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .556. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Rossville and Carroll had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Cougars  5-4. The game was the first time the Hornets have beaten the Cougars on their field since May 22, 2021.
Rossville also got a great performance from  AJ Kelley as he  struck out nine batters over  4.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   four  hits. Those  nine  strikeouts gave  Kelley a new career-high.
 On the hitting side,  Andrew Woolen was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April.
 Rossville pushed their record up to 14-4 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Twin Lakes, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
Both Twin Lakes and Rossville just can't seem to miss. The Indians have been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 9.1  hits per game. However, it's not like Rossville struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  only 5.3  hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Twin Lakes was able to grind out a solid  win over Rossville when the teams last played  back in May of 2024, winning  8-4. Do  the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
