Basketball Recap: Independence's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Independence had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 63-58 W against the Water Valley Blue Devils. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Independence's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Independence will face off against Charleston at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Water Valley, they will square off against Holly Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
