With a playoff win on the line, Huntley rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 33-18 victory over the Dundee-Crown Chargers. The win was familiar territory for the Red Raiders, who have now won six contests in a row.
A big part of Huntley's victory came down to the chemistry between Lyla Ginczycki and her top target Aubrina Adamik. Ginczycki threw for 313 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of her passes while Adamik picked up 223 receiving yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Ginczycki racked up eight rushing yards, the most she's had over her last three games.
Huntley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Elena Fetzer led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Huntley's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Dundee-Crown, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-10 record.
Huntley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 27-6 defeat against Antioch on the 7th. Dundee-Crown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
