North Putnam hasn't had much luck against Parke Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Wolves at 5:30 p.m. The last three games North Putnam has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Wednesday, North Putnam needed a bit of extra time to put away South Putnam. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Eagles. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Brayden Chew was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of North Putnam's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).
Meanwhile, Parke Heritage waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp 16-1 victory. With that win, the Wolves brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Jerrid Graves made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Josiah Heck was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. BT Luce was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Parke Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
North Putnam's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Parke Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. North Putnam has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Parke Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.1 hits.
