Volleyball Recap: Leo Takes a Loss

Leo lost against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lions fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 3-2.

Despite the loss, Leo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marlowe Weaver had 22 digs and two aces. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for Weaver. Kendi Kiehl also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Leo has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Leo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Woodlan on the 9th. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Columbia City on the 4th.
