McCallum and Eastside Early College are an even 3-3-1 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long. The McCallum Knights will be playing at home against the Eastside Early College Panthers at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully McCallum is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Texas (they are ranked 321st, while Eastside Early College is ranked 661st).
Last Thursday, McCallum kept a clean sheet against Travis. Everything went their way against the Rebels as they made off with a 3-0 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for McCallum.
Meanwhile, Eastside Early College's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 6-1 walloping at the hands of LBJ Austin.
McCallum has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2-2 record this season. As for Eastside Early College, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-11-1 record this season.
McCallum might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Eastside Early College when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can McCallum avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
