Solon came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins, and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the West Delaware Hawks 3-0.

While Solon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.

Solon has now won 10 of their last 12 games at home. That somehow still isn't as good as their 26-4 record this season. As for West Delaware, they dropped their record down to 16-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Solon and Independence will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Delaware, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play Center Point-Urbana at 5:00 p.m. The last three games the Pointers have played (dating back to last season) have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
