Coye Ferguson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Covington, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Ferguson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Curt Slider was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.
Fountain Central has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Covington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-9.
Fountain Central will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Hornets at 2:30 p.m. Hopefully Rossville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Friday. As for Covington, they will head out on the road to square off against the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
