Given Creekside Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Furtah Prep is ranked 295th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kyra Ware continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on nine points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. That's the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Placide, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Creekside Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Furtah Prep, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-7.
