When it comes to explaining why St. John Paul II Catholic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Diana Valencia. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Janey Lopez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 steals.
This is the second loss in a row for St. John Paul II Catholic and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for West Point, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-10.
