Brookstone moved up to 237 from 263 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in A Region 4. The Cougars were able to make the jump by beating Pacelli 41-14.
Greenville took down Central 62-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Demarquez Mallard put up the best numbers through the air as Marion County defeated Schley County. He finished with a total of four completions for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Mallard's favorite target this week was Trae Swanson, who caught two passes for 79 yards.
Luther Lee made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Eagles topped the Wildcats. The senior pulled down one interception.
Cortney Clark was the best wideout in the league this week as Dooly County defeated Hawkinsville. Clark tallied five receptions for 107 yards. Tyrone Anderson helped Dooly County's passing attack out by catching three balls for 50 yards.
Madison McCluskey was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 183 yards as Brookstone beat the Red Devils. Teammate Nate Wilkey added to the ground attack by rushing for 36 yards.
On the ground, Schley County's Tra Minter has rushed for 1046 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Clark. The Dooly County star has 14 catches for 329 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Pacelli takes on second place Marion County. The Vikings fell to the Cougars last week, while Marion County beat Josh Kemp's team.
There should be lots of points scored when Pacelli and the Eagles face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Randy Grace's team comes in having scored 157 this season, while Marion County has scored 149. The Vikings scored 14 points last week as they lost to Brookstone.
The Eagles led the league in scoring this week after putting up 69 points on the Wildcats. Mallard ran for 72 yards in the win.
