Volleyball Recap: Carmel Wins Going Away Against Jeffersonville

The Carmel Greyhounds made easy work of the Jeffersonville Red Devils on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 victory. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Greyhounds this season.

Carmel walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Griffin Holdcraft, who had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in May of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Carmel and bumps their season record up to 4-2. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to aces: they averaged an imposing seven aces in those games compared to only 2.75 in the others. As for Jeffersonville, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2.

Carmel has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Floyd Central on the 29th. As for Jeffersonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Westfield on the 29th.
