The St. John Bosco Academy Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Highland Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
St. John Bosco Academy pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Deary. St. John Bosco Academy has not had much luck with Deary recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Highland pushed their score all the way to 64 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 80-64 to Kendrick. Even though they lost, Highland's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.3 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite their defeat, Highland saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Noah Watson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Ty Goeckner was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds.
St. John Bosco Academy's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Highland, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
St. John Bosco Academy might still be hurting after the 64-42 defeat they got from Highland in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. John Bosco Academy was down 44-23.
