The Wayne Christian Eagles proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 22) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Coastal Christian out 46-44. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wayne Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2020.
When it comes to explaining why Coastal Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aidan Davies. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. That was a full 45.5% of Coastal Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Adgent, who scored nine points.
Wayne Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Coastal Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-14.
Wayne Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Coastal Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
