Hopefully Fletcher is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Trinity Christian Academy in Florida (Fletcher is ranked 209th, while Trinity Christian Academy is ranked 532nd).
Even though Fletcher has not done well against Sandalwood recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Fletcher enjoyed a cozy 46-28 win over Sandalwood. That's two games straight that Fletcher has won by exactly 18 points.
Fletcher's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mattie Gilliam, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Reagan Slaveski, who scored seven points along with two steals and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Providence School 69-17. Trinity Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-5.
Fletcher is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home.
