 Last Thursday,  everything went Xavier College Prep's way against Desert Vista as Xavier College Prep made off with  a  3-0 victory.
 The  3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Xavier College Prep was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15,  25-13.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Xavier College Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Mattea Saunders, who  had 15  digs and two  aces. Saunders is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 12 or more in the last five games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Leighton Fig, who  had five  digs and three  aces.
 She wasn't the only good server: Xavier College Prep  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 11  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least seven  aces in five consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Millennium faced Sunnyslope in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Millennium came up short against  Sunnyslope, falling  3-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as their game  on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Xavier College Prep's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Millennium, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.
 Xavier College Prep was able to grind out a solid  victory over Millennium when the teams last played  back in September of 2023, winning  2-0. Will Xavier College Prep repeat their success,  or does  Millennium have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
