The East Bay Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Largo Packers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Bay is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, East Bay never let their opponents score. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat King 42-0 on the road. East Bay might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by 32 points or more this season.
Jaelin Sneed continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Izaiah Ketchup was another key contributor, rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for East Bay, racking up 12 points in total. All those points came courtesy of Kaydien Saul: he added nine points with three field goals, and another three kicking extra points.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Largo's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Northeast 17-13.
Largo's loss came about despite a quality game from Jeremy Thomas, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 79 yards and a touchdown.
With East Bay's victory and Largo's defeat, both teams now sport identical 8-2 records.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. East Bay has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 282.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Largo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 167.1 per game. It's looking like Friday's match might have some serious battles in the trenches.
