Helena took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Hoover, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Helena Huskies never let the Hoover Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. The one-run effort marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Helena's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Hoover, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Helena didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Bob Jones on the 7th. As for Hoover, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Cullman on the 7th.
