The Miller Cardinals will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Pierce City Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Miller has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
Miller suffered their closest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 41-39 to Wheaton, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Meanwhile, Pierce City didn't have too much trouble with Jefferson Independent Day on the road on Friday as they won 54-38.
Miller's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Pierce City, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Miller ended up a good deal behind Pierce City in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, losing 46-27. Can Miller avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
