Seminole and Apopka are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Seminoles will venture away from home to take on the Blue Darters at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Seminole nor Boone made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Seminoles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Braves. That's two games straight that the Seminoles have won by just one run.

Ava Matthews spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Maggie Long was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Alexandra Steffano was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Apopka came tearing into Tuesday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Hawks 8-1. The Blue Darters might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Taylor Smith, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-3. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shylah Pino, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Apopka's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Seminole, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-13.
Seminole skirted past Apopka 5-4 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seminoles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
