The Northwood Temple Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Trinity Christian at home and fell 57-13. Northwood Temple Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.
Kyleigh Goode was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds for Trinity Christian. Goode has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Antania Davis was another key contributor, scoring two points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Northwood Temple Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Trinity Christian, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9.
Northwood Temple Academy will take on the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Trinity Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Eagles in North Carolina (the Crusaders are ranked 209th, while the Eagles are ranked 526th). As for Trinity Christian, they will look to defend their home court against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m.
