The Santa Rosa Academy Rangers will head out on the road to face off against the Rancho Verde Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Rosa Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Santa Rosa Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Knights as they made off with a 5-2 victory. The result was nothing new for Santa Rosa Academy, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.
They hit Desert Christian with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Phillip Zagone (2),
Dominic Zagone,
Parker Pawlowski, and
Sawyer Ross.
Meanwhile, Rancho Verde kept a clean sheet against Rancho Christian last Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rancho Verde.
Santa Rosa Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Rancho Verde, their win bumped their record up to 7-3-8.
