The Therrell Panthers can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 56-47 win over Manchester.
Manchester's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jhi Terry, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Terry's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zy'terrious Grey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Therrell's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12. As for Manchester, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Therrell and North Cobb Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North Cobb Christian is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Manchester, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Taylor County at 7:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Taylor County and four for Manchester.
