The Fabens Wildcats will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the San Elizario Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Fabens suffered their biggest loss since November 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 62-33 loss at the hands of Fort Hancock. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fabens in their matchups with Fort Hancock: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, San Elizario unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain View.
Fabens bumped their record down to 1-15 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for San Elizario, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-13.
Fabens beat San Elizario 44-37 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Fabens repeat their success, or does San Elizario have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
