The Quinton Savages will be playing at home against the McCurtain Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Saturday, Quinton faced the Bulldogs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Quinton took a serious blow against the Bulldogs, falling 61-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Quinton has scored all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, McCurtain's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spiro.
Quinton's defeat ended a 16-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 19-2. As for McCurtain, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.
Quinton was able to grind out a solid victory over the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 49-37. Will Quinton repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
