Football Recap: Colton Steele Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat East Forsyth + How To Watch

Chestatee lost to East Forsyth back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The War Eagles managed a 26-20 win over the Broncos. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the War Eagles.

Chestatee got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Colton Steele out in front who rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Those 113 rushing yards gave Steele a new career-high. Benjamin Plemons was another key rusher, rushing for 144 yards and one TD.

Although East Forsyth took the loss, they still got scores from Trent Polk and Jett Staley.

Chestatee now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Forsyth, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chestatee will head out to face off against North Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The War Eagles will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for East Forsyth, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Oconee at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
