While Round Rock Westwood couldn't quite beat the Mavericks on Friday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 41-point loss they were dealt on Tuesday. Round Rock Westwood fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 51-49. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Round Rock Westwood in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now lost seven in a row.
Stony Point has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vista Ridge on Friday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Naomi Ofunrein, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mary Bortels, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Round Rock Westwood dropped their record down to 9-23 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Stony Point, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-10.
