The Wilson Prep Tigers won against the Weldon Chargers last Thursday with 62 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Wilson Prep walked away with a 62-53 victory over Weldon. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wilson Prep.
Wilson Prep found their leader in underclassman Morgan Braswell, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Braswell has scored all season. Lauryn Barbour was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Wilson Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Weldon, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Wilson Prep will be playing at home against Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren County is coming into the game with four straight defeats on the road, meaning Wilson Prep will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Weldon, they will challenge Northwest Halifax at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
