After a string of four wins, the Andrews Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 54-46 to Swain County. Andrews has not had much luck with Swain County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Andrews still got an impressive performance from Cameron Rattler, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jailen Powell, who scored 11 points.
Andrews' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-3. As for Swain County, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrews will stay at home for another game and welcome Summit Charter at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. Summit Charter is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Swain County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hayesville at 8:00 p.m.
