Lakewood has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. Even though Booker scored an imposing 61 points on Tuesday, Lakewood still came out on top. Lakewood skirted past Booker 64-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Lakewood has posted yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakewood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alahni Lovett, who scored 27 points along with three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lovett has scored at least a third of Lakewood's points. Another player making a difference was Riana Callihan, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Osceola had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Hollins 38-36. Osceola's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lakewood is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Osceola, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
