Even though the Pleasant Ridge Rams have not done well against the Jackson Heights Cobras recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went Pleasant Ridge's way against Jackson Heights as Pleasant Ridge made off with a 46-26 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pleasant Ridge.
Pleasant Ridge was led to victory by Isabela Major and Mia Ernzen. Major scored 11 points along with 3 steals, while Ernzen dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Heim, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
Pleasant Ridge now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Jackson Heights, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-5 record last season and are now at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Ridge will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Atchison County on December 21st. As for Jackson Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
