The Jordan-Elbridge Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Port Byron 73-33 at home. That 73-33 margin sets a new team best for Jordan-Elbridge this season.
Abbie Ahern was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Hildebrant, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Jordan-Elbridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Port Byron, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan-Elbridge will take on Weedsport at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Port Byron, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pulaski at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
