Basketball Recap: Thomas Stone Piles Up the Points Against Academy for College and Career Exploration

Thomas Stone's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Academy for College and Career Exploration 61-28. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Zoe Carter was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 25 points, 13 boards, and nine assists. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Malaiyah Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.

Thomas Stone smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

The victory got Thomas Stone back to even at 2-2.

Thomas Stone will welcome Southern at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Academy for College and Career Exploration, they will head out to take on Carver Vo-Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Academy for College and Career Exploration is looking for their season's first win.
